State Standards

Effective planetariums will be judged as those that can aid in instruction of standards, competencies, benchmarks, anchors, etc, that are defined by the state you are located in.  Knowledge of these goals enable planetarium directors to develop their presentations to best assist visiting students and teachers.  Many teachers are asked to address which standard or benchmark they are working on in their lesson plans and on their field trip request forms.
